The Hanger Ivan R. Sabel Foundation works to enhance the productivity and quality of life for those who face physical challenges due to disease, war, or natural disasters, domestically and abroad, by supporting charitable organizations, programs, and volunteerism that improve human mobility.

As a new organization, we are interested in determining where our resources can be of the greatest benefit. We are especially interested in projects that provide the opportunity to create sustainable solutions, such as developing expertise among local prosthetics and orthotics practitioners, helping to establish local prosthetics and orthotics clinics and similar efforts.

The Hanger family operates as a collection of organizations serving regional markets, and our goal is to allow these entities to maintain their existing relationships with local charities. Therefore, each market will have autonomy in selecting local organizations to support, while the Foundation will evaluate national and international opportunities.

To be considered for a grant from the Foundation, please submit a grant request describing and if possible, quantifying, the prosthetics and orthotics needs of your community. Please provide as much detail as possible, and mail your request to:
